We knit a raglan sweater on top and bottom with knitting needles
Knitting raglan is not so difficult, you just need to understand the principle. Many products connected in this way do not require assembly at all.
Important! Knitting a raglan sleeve from above is not only convenient, as a result you can get a well-stretched and even yoke. After all, making an even yoke is difficult and experienced master.

Two Methods for Knitting Raglan Sleeves
1) Tie the back, in front, 2 sleeves to the armhole. Then transfer everything to the knitting needles in the following order:
- before;
- sleeve;
- back;
- sleeve.
Knit according to the scheme with decreases in 4 points.
2) Knit the back and front with a single piece of fabric. Also do with sleeves. Next, transfer everything to the knitting needles and make reductions, according to the scheme. Moreover, this knitting technique does not imply boring motives.

Important! It is recommended to knit raglan from above if a round yoke is planned.

The front and back can be continued with a single-piece part.
Women's Raglan Knitting Sweater
The model for women used a voluminous openwork motif . It follows from the coquette itself to the cuff. This visually lengthens the arms; the same motif is used along the side line of the seam.
The coquette is highlighted with a hollow elastic band, which emphasizes how smoothly you can make a round collar by knitting a raglan on top.
Materials and Tools
Everything is indicated for women 48-50 sizes.
Materials:
- knitting needles No. 2 (for making elastic) and No. 3 (for creating the main fabric);
- Alize yarn (49% wool, 51% acrylic) No. 193 (required for approximately 50 sizes of 290 g).
The process of knitting raglan sweaters on top with knitting needles
On knitting needles for size 48-50, you will need to dial 128 loops (42 for the front and the same for the back, 2 loops for each of the 4 raglans, 18 for each sleeve).
We scored 128 loops with knitting needles No. 2 and completed 10 rows with an elastic band 2 * 2.
This is an ordinary elastic band, in each row alternating 2 front and 2 wrong loops. Moreover, each subsequent rows should copy the loops under them, above the two front loops of the previous row only front loops will be located. Similarly with the purl loops.
You can highlight the yoke with a special hollow elastic band. To do this, immediately after the gum 2 * 2 should proceed to the scheme of a hollow gum.
Next, go to the number 3 knitting needle.
Raglan
The front and back of the product should be made with facial smoothness (in each circle the loops of the back and front should be only facial).
For each sleeve in the center, place a pattern from the openwork pattern.
Openwork pattern
Description:
1 row : three pitches / p., One yarn, three faces / p., One broach (remove one loop as a front loop, then create the next front loop, then stretch the loop through the removed loop), eight are out. / pet, two loops to knit together faces. / p., three facial loops, one yarn, three purl loops;
3 row : three p.
5th row : three pockets / stitches, two faces / stitches, one yarn, three faces / stitches, one broach, four stitches / stitches, two stitches together with faces, three stitches, one crochets, two stitches, three seam loops;
7 row : three pitches / stitches, three front loops, one yarn, three faces / stitches, broach, two stitches / stitches, two stitches together, three faces / stitches, one crochet, three stitches / stitches, three wrong side;
9 row : three pockets / loops, four faces / loops, one yarn, three faces / loops, broach, two loops knit together with the front, three front loops, one double crochet, four front loops, three back loops.
The diagram shows the rapport: the first rapport is A and it begins after the first two purl stitches and ends after the second crochet and purl. Rapport B occupies all the loops of the circuit.
The loops before and after the lace pattern are facial loops.
Raglan additions will look neat if you use a special scheme with purl loops.
After 30 rows with additions, lay the loop of the sleeves on additional knitting needles.
Front and back
In this model, the front and back should be knitted integrally.
In the first row, start by adding a lace pattern instead of side seams.
Continue knitting to the desired length. Again, go to the knitting needles No. 2 and perform 10 rows of gum 2 * 2.
Sleeves
Each sleeve should be continued with additional knitting needles only with one-piece details. Measure the desired length and tie to it. After changing the knitting needles to number 2 and create 10 rows of 2 * 2 elastic bands.
Important! Each sleeve will require the following decreases. They are best done along the seam line, so it will be imperceptible. It is necessary to make for each sleeve only 16 reductions strictly to the elbow, distribute evenly so that there is a smooth transition.
