How to fold warm sweatshirts
We will consider ways to fold a sweatshirt in a standard cut, with a long sleeve and a hood. Guided by these tips, you can also learn to fold sweatshirts with a hood made of zippers, called hoodies, and sweatshirts.
The first way: turn off the hoodie, starting with the hood
So, in order to fold a sweatshirt, you will need:
- Lay the product on a flat surface, face up. Spread the sleeves on both sides of the product, straighten the hood. It is important to ensure that there are no wrinkles on the surface, otherwise they may remain on the fabric and you will need to re-iron the sweatshirt before putting it on.
- Fold the hood along the shoulder line, move the sleeves to the side seams of the sweatshirt so that a rectangle is obtained.
- Mentally draw a line in the middle of the product, take the right side of the product and fold it so that the edge with the folded sleeve touches the middle. Repeat with left side. The result is a rectangle, but narrower than in the previous paragraph.
- Gently fold the lower edge to the neck by about 1/3 and cover with the upper part of the product.
The second way: we simply and quickly turn off a sweatshirt
- Take the product or carefully lay it out in front of you, the sleeves and the hood should be straightened to the sides.
- Mentally draw a straight line in the middle from the top of the sweatshirt to the bottom. Fold the product symmetrically in half, so that the sleeves are connected to each other.
- Bend the sleeves along the shoulder line over the product.
- If the product floors are too long, you can bend the sweatshirt in half.
Third way: a compact way with folding a hoodie
The last simple way is suitable for transporting a sweatshirt on a business trip or vacation, since it takes up the minimum amount of space in a suitcase. Due to the fact that the product folds tightly, it will not lose its appearance, you can put it on immediately after unpacking the suitcase. Folding clothes this way can be done in three simple steps:
- Fold the product face up, straighten the hood and sleeves.
- Mark the middle of the right shoulder seam of the product and mentally draw a line down. Fold the right side of the product along it, and put the sleeve over the folded side of the back, like an accordion. Repeat with left side. You should get a narrow rectangle.
- Carefully start folding the bottom to the neck into a tight roller. Then fill the folded fabric into the hood.
Useful Warm Storage Tips
- Keep only clean, pre-washed clothes in the closet. To avoid wrinkles on it, it is advisable to leave the ironed thing to cool on a horizontal surface and only after that proceed to folding. If the fabric is still wrinkled, it can be steamed or gently ironed through a dampened gauze.
- Check your clothing regularly. Every month it is necessary to wipe the dust on the shelves and walls inside the wardrobe. Ventilate the cupboard once a season, remove items and leave the doors open for a day. This will help get rid of the unpleasant smell of stale clothing.
- To prevent the appearance of moths in a closet with warm clothes, it is recommended to purchase special anti-insect compounds or use folk remedies: dried sprigs of lavender or orange peels.
