the practice of experienced craftsmen.

How to make children's boots

Let us dwell on an option that is perfect for both small children and as a decorative accessory. This will significantly save on the amount of wool, and will also provide an opportunity to start practicing on a small product in the skill of wet felting.

  • First you need to print and cut a special template.

IMPORTANT! Keep in mind that wool will shrink during felting. Therefore, the size of the template and the calculation of the volume of wool must be increased.

  • Use it to cut another pattern of foam rubber.
  • Now you need to place it on the film, and in the spray bottle draw water with a small amount of detergent or liquid soap.
  • Then the wool is laid out on the pattern in stripes, first along, and then across .

TIP . Do not select stripes whose length is too short and does not extend beyond the borders of the template.

  • Now moisten it from the spray bottle, after which the wool should be crushed and rubbed with your fingers.

The protruding edges should be tucked in, then lay out another layer of wool and repeat the procedure.

  • The wool is rubbed not only with your fingers, but also on the adhesive film itself for about 20 minutes.
  • When the material falls off, you need to cut the template into two parts and remove the rubber from the resulting felt boots. Now you need to rub the product a little more on the film.
  • Check product availability. Wool should not fall off or crumble. As a final step, wash the felt boots from the soap and remove excess water. Now dry them, and the product is ready!

IMPORTANT! Do not put the accessory on the battery - this may damage the boots. It is best to put them somewhere in a dry place and wait until they are completely dry.

Now you know how to dump such a wonderful gift on your own with your family and friends. And a child who will wear such beautiful and original shoes will always be happy with a winter walk, no matter what the weather is outside.
